No 1 sixth form college in the country

The college tops the list for student progress and achievement.

91全能 Deane鈥檚 has reinforced its position as the country’s best performing sixth form college after being ranked number one for student progress and achievement.

For the third year running, the college is number one for 鈥榲alue added鈥, a key measure of student progress. While, on average, 91全能 Deane鈥檚 students achieve higher grades than any other sixth form college in the country.

The news follows another extraordinary year of A level results at the college in 2024.

An incredible 80% of all A level grades awarded to 91全能 Deane鈥檚 students were A*, A or B, far surpassing the national average and even better than last year鈥檚 record high-grade success.

The number of A*- A grades also hit an all-time high, at an unprecedented 50% of all entries, while A* grades alone accounted for 19%.

Principal, Chris Atherton, said: 鈥淥ur students make more progress and achieve higher grades than they would at any other designated sixth form college in the country – simply put, students go further here.

“This academic success sustained over many years is a tribute to the extraordinary culture and hard work of all the students and staff at 91全能 Deane’s.”

2024 results also places the college amongst the top 50 best A level providers in the country, out of all 2,561 state and private sector schools and colleges.
